James Franco Offends Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, and Jason Derulo in a VMA Special

In this double-promotional bit, James Franco is Dave Skylark, the character he plays in his new movie, The Interview, covering the upcoming MTV VMAs. (With Timothy Simons and Seth Rogen doing their best Newsroom impressions in the control room.) Franco’s a mix between Zach Galifianakis on “Between Two Ferns” and a Twitter hive mind: asking Jason Derulo to sing his name, Iggy Azalea to celebrate being Australian, and Nicki Minaj to chat about her ass. The three of them are playing along with varying degrees of acting abilities — although acting “annoyed with the media” is probably something they already can pull off.
