This week marks the beginning for Neal Brennan’s new series The Approval Matrix and the end for season eight of Last Comic Standing. Tonight, The Approval Matrix premieres with a discussion on “The Golden Age of TV” with guest comedians Whitney Cummings, Julie Klausner, Amy Poehler, and journalists Matt Roush and Willie Geist. Thursday, Last Comic Standing in a two-hour season finale will dub one of the three finalists its winner. Judges for the show Roseanne Barr and Russell Peters will perform along with online comedy competition winner Alingon Mitra. In the world of late night, The Tonight Show, Late Night, and Conan are all new. The Tonight Show’s comedic guest will be the winner of Last Comic Standing while Late Night and Conan will have Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci from Garfunkel and Oates, Derek Waters the creator and star of Drunk History, and Damon Wayans Jr. from Let’s Be Cops.
