‘Bad Judge’s Tone Bell Sells a Comedy to FX

FX just added another comedy to its development slate. THR reports that Tone Bell – who won NBC’s Stand-Up for Diversity showcase in 2011 – has sold a script for his own show. Co-created with comedian and The Jeselnik Offensive writer Mark Agee, the untitled comedy follows “four guys from vastly different backgrounds as they clumsily try to figure out how to get by – and get along.” Bell has appeared on Whitney, Key and Peele, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, has a regular role on NBC’s Bad Judge, and is developing a second FX comedy with Animal Practice co-creators Brian Gatewood and Alex Tanaka, who are attached to both projects as executive producers.
