Director Jason Reitman just landed his first (streaming) TV show. THR reports that Hulu has given a 10-episode order to Casual, a comedy about a “dysfunctional family with a bachelor brother and his newly divorced sister. Together, they coach each other through the crazy world of dating (online and off), while living under one roof again and raising a teenager.” Up-and-coming writer Zander Lehmann will write the script, and Reitman will direct the series premiere episode and serve as executive producer. Production on Casual will begin this year, and the show is expected to debut sometime in 2015. “I’ve long looked for the right first step into episodic storytelling,” Reitman said in a statement. “In Zander Lehmann, I have found the perfect collaborator. His writing is hilarious and provocative.”
