According to Entertainment Weekly, ABC has picked up a single-camera comedy called Men in Shorts, inspired by U.S. soccer player Robbie Rogers, the first openly gay man to play in a professional sports league in North America. Per the official description, the show will follow “a young pro soccer player who takes one small step out of the closet and one giant leap into the spotlight.” We hope he packed a pair of dress shorts.
