When Community returns on Yahoo next year it’ll include two brand new series regulars. TV Guide reports that ahead of Community’s premiere on Yahoo Screen, Paget Brewster and Keith David have been cast in roles that were first described when news broke that Yvette Nicole Brown was leaving the show back in September. Brewster will play Francesca “Frankie” Dart, “a consultant hired to help shape things up at the underachieving school,” while David will play “a retired scientist who comes to Greendale to reinvent himself” named Elroy Patashnik. Brewster made a brief appearance on Community last season as IT department employee Debra Chambers and most recently has appeared on Drunk History and Key and Peele. David also has a past with Community as the documentary narrator in the season 3 episode “Pillows and Blankets,” and his most recent regular role was on the canceled Fox comedy Enlisted.
