FX is joining in on a BBC One production of Taboo, an eight-episode period drama starring Tom Hardy, the network announced today. The series is set in 1813 and is based on a story written by Hardy and his father Chips (really!), about a “rogue adventurer” who, with a pocket full of stolen diamonds and the desire to avenge his father’s death, decides to go up against the East India Company. Oooooh, how very taboo, indeed. The show was first announced in April as a BBC One series, will go into production later this year, and should air sometime in 2016.
