Amy Schumer took over MTV’s social media accounts last night to reveal some big news: She’s officially signed on to host next year’s MTV Movie Awards, which is set to air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, April 12th a 9:00pm. “Wickedly funny and sharply insightful, Amy Schumer is perhaps the most ascendant talent in comedy today and she’s on the brink of an epic year,” said MTV President Stephen Friedman in a statement. “We are thrilled to work with Amy to create an unpredictable and hilarious showcase for Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters and brightest stars in what promises to be the most combustible Movie Awards ever.”
