The upcoming spinoff for The Walking Dead has cast its male lead: Cliff Curtis, “best known” for Fox’s brief Gang Related, will star as Sean, a divorced teacher trying to do his thing during the zombie end-times, according to THR. His female counterpart, a guidance counselor from his school and mom to two teens, has not been cast yet. The show, which still technically only has a pilot order, is set during the same zombie outbreak as The Walking Dead but the characters for the two shows won’t overlap. Maybe this one could be set in a cold climate, where zombies could get caught in snowdrifts, or fall down on icy patches and stuff?
