It looks like the Absolutely Fabulous movie is finally happening. The Daily Mirror reports that the film adaptation of the hit BBC sitcom created by and starring Jennifer Saunders now has a completed script titled Edina and Patsy, and Saunders intends to finish the project in 2015: “I’ve finished the first draft. I’m feeling euphoric. My proper New Year’s resolution is to do the film, otherwise it’ll be a pointless year of procrastination.” Saunders confirmed last year that the original cast would return for the adaptation, and she also intends to “cast everyone who has ever been in the show in it.” The original BBC show ran in the ‘90s and early ‘00s and aired three anniversary specials back in 2012.
