One of Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming projects just got a premiere date. Deadline reports that Michelle Darnell – which stars McCarthy as “a titan of industry who’s sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading” – has been slated for an April 8, 2016 release. McCarthy co-wrote Michelle Darnell with husband/director Ben Falcone and Groundlings alum Steve Mallory; the lead role is based on a character McCarthy debuted during her years at LA’s Groundlings theater.
