This Week in Comedy: ‘Mr. Show’ and ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Are Coming Back

-Netflix confirmed that it’s ordered a limited eight-episode Wet Hot American Summer series.

-A Mr. Show reunion will tape in March for HBO, Grace Helbig’s new E! hybrid comedy/talk show premieres in April, Judd Apatow’s 25-year-old Simpsons episode premieres Sunday, Amazon’s next round of pilots premieres next week, Melissa McCarthy’s Michelle Darnell premieres in April 2016, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premieres on Netflix March 6th.

-HBO renewed Girls for a fifth season, ABC Family ordered two single-cam comedy pilots, Hulu renewed Paul Scheer’s Hotwives for a second season, NatGeo ordered docu-comedy History of the World from Silicon Valley creators, LL Cool J will host Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle produced by Jimmy Fallon, Showtime announced the return dates for Episode and Web Therapy, Fox renewed Bob’s Burgers for a sixth season, NatGeo ordered a late night talk show hosted by deGrasse Tyson, and HBO ordered a standup special from Tig Notaro.
