X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer Instagramed his newest mutant late Tuesday night, staying true to his promise that he’d tease more movie info via social media. Thankfully, this announcement was significantly less vague than his other recent revelation. “Excited to welcome Kodi Smit-Mcphee to the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse as young Nightcrawler,” he wrote in the caption.
Alan Cumming (a.k.a. old Nightcrawler) is probably most excited about the news, though Smit-McPhee seems pretty happy, too, writing on his Instagram that he’s “humbled and honored to be joining this incredible project and to be able to tell the story of the well respected young mutant Nightcrawler”:
