The upcoming Richard Pryor biopic by Lee Daniels just added another big name to its cast. Entertainment Tonight reports that Eddie Murphy is in talks to play Pryor’s father LeRoy “Buck Carter” Pryor, joining previously announced star Mike Epps in the lead role and Oprah Winfrey as Pryor’s grandmother Marie Carter. ET also confirms that Kate Hudson will play Pryor’s wife Jennifer, who is co-producing the film. Daniels teased the Murphy casting news in an Instagram post last week, which you can check out below:
