Just over a month after dropping I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside, Earl Sweatshirt has sprung another surprise project on the internet. Called Solace, the following is a ten-minute musical collage that’s reportedly dedicated to the rapper’s mother (with whom the artist has had a rather turbulent relationship). It’s “music from when I hit the bottom and found something,” according to the YouTube description. That something is a phantasmagoric mash of stream-of-consciousness-esque murmurs and haunting production. “Find your solace in your self,” Earl added on Twitter. “If ya soul intact let me know.”
