Jake Gyllenhaal is getting more comfortable with the stage. After starring opposite Ruth Wilson in Constellations on Broadway, he’ll be making his musical-theater debut as nerdy florist Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, a kooky play reminiscent of old Gyllenhaal’s early sensibility. But then again, this might all be part of Gyllenhaal’s master plan to play Effie White in Dreamgirls. The play begins its run at the City Center in New York in the summer.
