As that whimsical Canadian known to many as Drake once said: “Sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no makeup on/That’s when you’re the prettiest, I hope that you don’t take it wrong.” This idea of natural beauty, as Slate points out, has enjoyed a certain form of unexplained ubiquity in today’s pop-music and emotional-rap landscapes.
