Sean Combs aka P. Diddy has a new comedy in the works at FX. Deadline reports that Combs is executive producing an animated comedy called Brightmore Elementary for the network written by King of the Hill’s Chip Hall and Detroit comedian Chris Powell, also known as Comedian CP. The series will center on a group of students in a Detroit elementary school and is described as “South Park set in inner city Detroit.” This makes the second Detroit-set comedy in the works this year; in January, Comedy Central ordered a pilot called Detroiters starring Sam Richardson and SNL alum Tim Robinson.
