The trailer for Amy Berg’s documentary on child sexual abuse in Hollywood is here, and it looks pretty terrifying. An Open Secret will tell the story of nearly half a dozen young people who allegedly endured some form of mistreatment by powerful industry players. “It’s much bigger than anything about the one case,” Berg told one reporter last year, referencing the very public, contentious claims of Michael Egan. “[Abuse] is a huge problem. It’s pervasive in Hollywood, and the time to explore it is now.” The movie’s secured a 20-city release and will screen at Cannes later this month.
