When Gary Busey showed up on set at the Entourage movie, he needed a reminder how to be like Gary Busey. Speaking at AOL Build, writer and director Doug Ellin recalls telling Busey, “‘Gary, we’re just going to do this just like we did it the last time,’ and I swear to God he wasn’t joking, he goes, ‘What do you mean, the last time?’ I go, ‘The show.’ ‘I did the show?’ And I go, ‘Are you fucking with me right now?’ And he wasn’t. I don’t think he remembered it.” The first time when he was on the show, though, Ellin remembers that Busey told him, “Doug, I won’t give you your words, but what I will give you is the truth.”
Busey made a number of appearances on the show, and every time, Kevin Connolly said it was like “bracing for a hurricane.” Connolly has his own Busey story that happened when he came on set during the second season. “Kevin, you and I are going to play a game called Tickle and Pee,” said Connolly. “What do you mean? Gary, I’m 35 years old. Are you going to tickle me until I pee? That’s ridiculous.” But that’s exactly what he did. “He chased me down and held me down and tickled me like I was 9 years old. I almost peed. I had to fight it back, but if I was 10 years old, the tickle and pee would have been successful.” He was just Method acting, E.
