Maya Rudolph Might Return to NBC in a New Variety Show

The world definitely needs more Maya Rudolph right now, and NBC might make that happen by bringing back, in some form, her 2014 one-off variety show The Maya Rudolph Show. According to Variety, sources close to NBC confirmed that “discussions have been revived” with Rudolph for a show that will be a “possible companion” for Neil Patrick Harris’s untitled weekly variety show, which is expected to debut its 10-episode season sometime this year.

In addition to the possible NBC show, Rudolph is also set to appear in IFC’s The Spoils Before Dying, the Lorne Michaels-produced HBO pilot Brothers in Atlanta, and Bill Murray and Sofia Coppolla’s upcoming Christmas special.
