NBC Orders Three New Comedies Starring America Ferrera, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Patrick Warburton

Say hello to the next round of comedies set to premiere on NBC during the 2015-2016 season. THR reports that the network has ordered three new shows – Will Packer and DJ Nash’s multi-cam show People Are Talking starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tone Bell, a Sean Hayes-produced family comedy by Hot in Cleveland’s Suzanne Martin called Crowded, and a single-cam workplace romantic comedy starring America Ferrera and Ben Feldman called Superstore.

Crowded will center on “a pair of empty nesters whose later-in-life plan backfires when their two adult daughters move back home” and stars Patrick Warburton, Carrie Preston, Stacy Keach and Mirada Cosgrove, while Superstore hails from The Office’s Justin Spitzer, and Ruben Fleischer directed the pilot. People Are Talking, Crowded, and Superstore join NBC’s recent straight-to-series orders for comedies Telenovela starring Eva Longoria and a new season of Coach starring Craig T. Nelson.
