Judd Apatow on His Bill Cosby Criticism: ‘Aren’t We Supposed to Say We Don’t Like This?’

Ever since news of Bill Cosby’s history of sexual abuse broke, one of his biggest critics has been Judd Apatow. Late last year, the filmmaker blasted Cosby defenders on Twitter, something he’s continued to do as the accusations pile up. Apatow’s refusal to go easy on Cosby and his apologists has, however, come under fire, with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris calling Apatow’s tweets “strangely obsessive.”

Last night on Seth Meyers, Apatow explained once again why he won’t stop speaking out against Cosby, and why anyone who has a problem with his comments is more or less saying, “Leave a rapist alone.” Apatow also has an amusing theory about why Cosby’s still on the road performing despite the scandal. Apatow: king of shade.
