This past weekend in New York City was the 17th Del Close Marathon, the improv festival the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre puts on every year, in which thousands of improvisers from all over the world come to perform and watch comedy. One of those improvisers was Sasheer Zamata, the Saturday Night Live cast member who has been a staple of the theatre almost ever since she started taking classes there in 2009. For this year’s Marathon, Vulture had photographer Krista Schlueter follow Zamata around for one night, as she hung out with out-of-town friends, got herself in game mode, and performed.
