There are almost as many Lance Armstrong biopics in the works as there are Tour de France titles that he lost, and the first one out of the gate is Stephen Frears’s The Program starring Ben Foster as the disgraced athlete and Chris O’Dowd as the journalist who suspects him of cheating. (The movie is based on journalist David Walsh’s Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong.) The film hits theaters in Germany on October 8, and does not yet have U.S. release date. If you want, you can watch the trailer dubbed over in German, which, depending on your perspective, might add an entertaining Übermensch sheen to the whole affair.
