The seven-member sketch-comedy troupe Friends of the People (whose Gentrify Rap was one of our favorite bits last year) returns from its hiatus this summer with the undeniable, unbelievable R&B crooner Brian McKnight starring as Batman’s successor. This Dark McKnight comes complete with pelvic thrusts and a silky-sweet tenor. Yes, it’s like a dream come true (Sorry, Robin). Friends of the People returns on truTV July 16 at 10:30 p.m.
