Wilco Covering Pavement Is the Most ’90s Thing

In 2013, indie-folk-rock icons Wilco played a 27-song monster of a set comprising all fan-requested covers. The night was, by all accounts, awesome and included a vivacious iteration of Pavement’s sole hit, “Cut Your Hair,” off their 1994 classic (some might say opus) Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain. Videos of varying quality have eddied on the internet, but now the song is available in a gorgeous HD version. The fuzzed-out, totally irrelevant song, as short and cropped as the dreaded haircut the song warns against, goes perfectly with Jeff Tweedy’s jangly voice. The song will appear on the band’s upcoming documentary, Every Other Summer.
