Aziz Ansari has a new scripted comedy in the works at Netflix, and today the streaming network revealed the show’s title and premiere date. Called Master of None, the show centers on “the professional life of Dev (Ansari), a 30-year-old actor in New York who has trouble deciding what he wants to eat, much less the pathway for the rest of his life. Dev’s story takes him through subjects as diverse as the plight of the elderly, the immigrant experience and how to find the most delicious pasta for dinner.” Ansari created the series with Parks and Rec’s Alan Yang, and both co-executive produce alongside Mike Schur. Master of None premieres on Friday, November 6th.
In addition to Ansari’s show, Netflix also announced premiere dates for a round of standup specials, via THR:
