Well, Rick is still in charge. The end of season five saw the soft, lily-livered townsfolk debating whether or not they should kick out Captain Rick. AMC released the season-six trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, and also announced that Ethan Embry and Nurse Jackie’s Merritt Wever would be joining the cast for the next season. But obviously it’s deliberately misleading! “This is a savvy audience who knows that we sometimes play with the truth in trailers,” executive producer Scott Gimple said at The Walking Dead panel at SDCC. “But it’s just to maintain the experience for everyone. Rick is faced with challenges in the way he does things.” What we can surmise from the trailer is that Morgan is likely going to play a big role, and the Wolves — that murderous cult — are knocking at the door. The theme probably remains the same: Toughen up, or get eaten.
