Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Seth Meyers Made a Very Awkward Panel Discussion Hilarious

To promote the premiere of IFC’s Documentary Now! last week, creators/stars Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, and Rhys Thomas sat down for a panel discussion with The Atlantic’s Steve Clemons and MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, and if you haven’t seen it yet, the chat is a solid 40 minutes of delightful – but often painful – awkwardness. Clemons prefaces a lot of his questions with stuffy Atlantic references (“Let me ask an Atlantic-style, serious question…”), and Hader in particular is not having it, especially considering Clemons asks some pretty weird questions like “What is the life of a comedian like?” and “Are you worried that every time you succeed it’ll be seen as a fluke?” At one point, Hader’s clearly so fed up with things that he looks to Lorne Michaels in the audience and says “Lorne, do you see what we’re doing up here for you?” The whole video is worth the watch, but if you want to skip right to the part where Bill mentally checks out, it starts around the 19 minute mark. (Bonus: Hader gets an extreme case of the giggles at 28:40 that lasts for almost a minute.)
