Ahead of Chvrches’ sophomore album out late next month, the Glasgow synth-pop trio offers up a strong second taste of the LP, titled Every Open Eye. “Never Ending Circles” sounds similarly triumphant to the industrial pop of “Leave a Trace,” Every Open Eye’s lead single. Following an atmospheric ballad bridge, singer Lauren Mayberry’s toast of sorts hits the hardest: “Here’s to taking what you came for/ And here’s to running off the pain.” Amen to that.
