The Flight of the Conchords guys might be headed to the big screen after all. In an interview with Indiewire, Jemaine Clement revealed that he and Bret McKenzie have been actively working on a Flight of the Conchords project for the big screen, but it’s still very early in the development stage:
We have actually started writing one. But who knows if it will ever be made, we’ve written some notes for some different film ideas. We’re not down to the stage where we’re going, “The film is going to be like this,” it could be this, this, this, this, this.
In addition to the Conchords film, the duo is planning a US tour for later this year, and Clement has both a Judd Apatow-produced HBO show in the works with Taika Waititi and a possible sequel to What We Do in the Shadows.
