The fifth season of Louie wrapped up back in May, and while FX hasn’t officially renewed it yet, Louis C.K. has decided to put the show on an “extended hiatus” to focus on his other projects currently in the works. “After writing, directing, starring in and mostly editing 61 episodes of television, he’s anxious to take a break from the show and work on other things,” FX CEO John Landgraf said at TCA today. The Louie hiatus will allow C.K. to spend more time on Better Things with Pamela Adlon and Baskets with Zach Galifianakis, not to mention his upcoming film I’m a Cop. This will make the second time Louie went on hiatus – C.K. last put the show on hold back in 2012 before season 4 premiered in 2014.
