Will Smith has (hopefully) heard our plea, and will now officially attempt to bring back The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: TV Line reports that he’s in the early stages of rebooting his popular ‘90s sitcom, this time serving as producer along with wife Jade Pinkett-Smith, and will begin pitching the reboot to networks in the coming weeks. There’s no announced premise for the new Fresh Prince just yet, other than that it’ll “put a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series,” but allow us to do some dream casting in the meantime. The reboot should obviously star Willow Smith as Will’s teenage daughter and be renamed The Fresh Princess of Calabasas, where Willow has been sent to live with — who else? — her uncle Carlton (reprised by Alfonso Ribeiro, naturally). And its theme song will, of course, get a philosophical reworking from Jaden. We’ll leave the rest of the details up to you, Will. Happy rebooting!
