The Nightly Show debuted a brand new and wonderfully named segment last night called “Tyler Perry Presents Lee Daniels’ Soul Food Sit-Down with Larry Wilmore based on the novel Pull by Sapphire,” and over a nice soul food meal, Wilmore had a great chat with presidential candidate Bernie Sanders about his politics and campaign. Wilmore covers a little bit of everything in the interview, from whether or not Sanders would be comfortable with a “Weekend at Bernie’s situation” if something were to happen to him while in office to why and how Sanders should start using the term “on fleek” out on the campaign trail.
