If you haven’t finished Mad Men yet, go away. Don’t read or look at this.

Okay, so the final shot of the show, in which Jon Hamm shows off some serious yoga moves, was not a pleasant experience for the actor. Speaking with USA Today about the show’s Emmy campaign (which features the final shot), Hamm says, “I’m not a very flexible person … So that was a tricky day.”

How tricky? He pulled both of his groin muscles stretching for Don Draper’s denouement and had to cope with a strong wind that felt like it was going to blow him off the Big Sur cliff. There was also “nine pounds of hair spray” in his hair to keep everything looking perfect despite the wind. So reaching one’s resolution can be painful, though probably not as painful as an 0-14 record at the Emmys.
