Probably because everybody who’s anybody is either working on a reboot, remake, or revival these days, execs at Nickelodeon are thinking now’s the perfect time to bring back some of your childhood crown jewels. (If not for you, maybe your progeny!) Variety reports that such classics as Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, and Victorious might return to Nick’s programming in the form of series, one-off movies, or TV specials. “We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way,” Nickelodeon’s president of content and development told the trade. “We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they’ve told us multiple times they want to have brought back.” No selects or logistical details have yet been specified, but one can only hope that Rocko’s Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, Ren & Stimpy, and CatDog are also up for consideration because animals are important, too.
