On August 11, 2014, we lost Robin Williams, one of the most gifted entertainers of his or any generation. This weekend, his daughter, Zelda, wrote a beautiful elegiac bit of prose-poetry on an Instagram depicting the moon gleaming off of a lake, the long reach of its pale reflection spread across the water feeling, somehow, hopeful: “I know how dark and endless that tunnel can feel, but if happiness seems impossible to find, please hold on to the possibility of hope, faint though it may be. Because I promise you, there’re enough nights under the same yellow moon for all of us to share, no matter how or when you find your way there.” Commence crying.
