According to the Wrap, Tracy Morgan is negotiating his first movie following last year’s tragic car crash. Morgan is reportedly angling to mount his film comeback alongside Ice Cube and It’s Always Sunny’s Charlie Day in a Richie Keen comedy called Fist Fight. Evan Susser and Van Robichaux have written the script, which follows two high-school teachers (Day and Cube) who will likely do exactly what the title implies; Variety adds that Morgan will play a coach at the school. Production is slated to begin this month in Atlanta. The last film Morgan appeared in was Chris Rock’s Top Five, in which he played a character in Rock’s inner circle. Since his recovery from the collision, Morgan has enjoyed a successful and well-supported turnaround this summer, giving his first interview in June, and making an emotional (and hilarious) industry return at the Emmys. You’ll next see him hosting SNL on October 17, which can’t come soon enough.
