Watch Uzo Aduba’s Emmys Acceptance Speech

Uzo Aduba pulled a neat little trick tonight: She won a second consecutive Emmy for the same role, but in a completely different category than the first.

Last year, Aduba won an Emmy for her role as Litchfield’s biggest Shakespeare fan, Suzanne Warren, for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. This year, she won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama. (Here she is on her Emmy submission tape.) But you get the sense that graduating to the prime-time ceremony isn’t what makes Aduba grateful. “I really just want to say thank you a thousand times,” said Aduba. She unleashed as many thank-yous as she could muster, and with them, all of our tears.
