Donald Glover’s semiautobiographical TV show Atlanta has been in the works for more than two years now, and after casting its leads and shooting a pilot, today it finally got a full first-season order from FX. Glover will star as wannabe rapper Earnest Marks in the half-hour comedy, alongside Broadway’s Brian Tyree Henry as Earnest’s more successful cousin Alfred. Rounding out the cast are Keith Stanfield (Straight Outta Compton’s Snoop Dogg) as Alfred’s sidekick Darius, and newcomer Zazie Beetz as Van, a woman who has a “complicated relationship” with Glover’s character.
