After Justin Bieber sneakily got Michelle Obama to promote his latest single, “Sorry,” in a video with Vine star King Bach, he’s finally unleashed the song in full. And boy, is it the mother of all emo bangers. Working with Diplo and Skrillex (who produced the song with BloodPop) appears to have made a lasting impression on the Biebs. “Sorry” resembles something of a leftover from Jack Ü’s excellent debut; it’s a Caribbean-flavored house beat over which Bieber flexes his best falsetto in order to persuade a lover he’s wronged into letting him back into her life, at least for the night. (Don’t give in, Selenerrr!) Finally, Bieber’s figured out the remedy for a broken heart: Dance it off! Sadly, we don’t get to see him hit the dab in the song’s “dance video” (because that’s a thing now), but the dozen fierce women he picked to replace him more than make up for his absence.
