You Will Have to Pry the Role of Indiana Jones Out of Harrison Ford’s Cold, Dead Hands

Despite speculation that Chris Pratt or Bradley Cooper might inherit the role, it appears that, like a Supreme Court justice, Indiana Jones serves for life. As producer Frank Marshall tells Total Film, we shall worship no Indy but Harrison Ford (and River Phoenix, RIP). “There are a lot of rumors,” he says, but he the veteran producer swears they are “not doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones.” Marshall did hint, though, that the series could get a reboot with a new lead actor at some point. “We haven’t even sat down to talk about Indy yet,” he claims. “At some point, we’ll sit down. But there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton.” Shia LaBeouf, presumably, is not among them.

Sorry, Chris Pratt—Indiana Jones Won’t Be Recast
