The star of Creed, which continues the Rocky saga from the point of view of Apollo Creed’s son, has earned early buzz for his portrayal of the up-and-coming boxer fighting to carve out his own legacy. The film is an obvious Oscar contender, with Jordan and Sly Stallone being mentioned for possible Best Actor and Supporting Actor honors. If you’re worried whether Jordan lives up to his predecessor, fear not: No one has loved the movie more than Apollo Creed himself, Carl Weathers, who tweeted ecstatically about the movie.
