According to Variety, John Laher’s biography “Tennessee Williams: Mad Pilgrimage of the Flesh” is currently in development at Broad Green Pictures. The movie does not have a writer or director attached just yet, so how about we mix it up a little and not write the same biopic for the same cadre of Oscar-thirsty A-listers we do every year? Let’s cast the Rock and have a Tennessee Williams that throws highball glasses and passionately kisses Italian bellboys and kicks open every door he walks through. Every door he sees, just rocketed off its hinges. The door budget will almost sink the project, but in the end we’ll all realize it was exactly what we needed.
