Hannibal, what an improbable life you led. After airing three glorious, macabre, sensual seasons on, of all places, NBC, the series ended on a literal cliff-hanger. During its run, the show found new life online in the form of slash fiction, where viewers would reimagine the protagonists Will Graham and Hannibal (or, Hannigram) as lovers in drawings, cartoons, fiction, GIFs, and memes. It was a way of making the homoerotic subtext that ran through the show clear and unequivocal. And now, thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, a new press called Bad Influence Press will publish an anthology called Raw with over 200 pages of new art, comics, and fiction. And who says you can’t print a Tumblr page?
