Three martinis in, Cate Blanchett will tell you what it’s really like to be an actor. You know that expression “stuck between a rock and a hard place”? Well, according to Blanchett, that’s pretty outdated. In a new GQ profile, she says it’s more like being stuck between a wildfire and a feral cat. Tell us something we don’t know, Cate! Up in the northwest there are bushﬁres, she says. And when there are ﬁres, “these feral cats go to the line that the bushﬁre has reached, where all of the native mammals are escaping the bushﬁre. And the cats have this feeding frenzy for two or three weeks. It’s terrible.”
