Chadwick Boseman, best known for his iconic roles as Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get On Up, and Thoth in Gods of Egypt — you know, that Egyptian god with the beak? Although it doesn’t seem like he will be sporting a beak in this film, but anyway, where were we, oh yes, Chadwick Boseman — has signed on to play Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in an upcoming film called Marshall. No one wants to appeal this decision! Ha ha. Deadline says the film will tell the story of a real-life incident from 1940, in which the young Marshall was hired “to defend a black chauffeur against his wealthy socialite employer in a sexual assault and attempted murder trial that quickly became tabloid fodder.” Objection! This movie sounds too good! No, but seriously. It will probably be really good. Boseman can next be seen in Disney and Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. His career is reportedly going okay.
