Dean Martin will take the stage once more in 2016, according to Vanity Fair. High-definition Dean Martin, that is! Hologram USA has worked with the Martin estate to create a lifelike resemblance of the late Rat Pack alum, set to head out on a national tour that starts in Las Vegas next year. “A new generation is about to be blown away by the extraordinary presence of Dean Martin,” Hologram USA’s CEO told the media. “He owned Vegas like no other entertainer, and is the definition of elegance and cool.” The shows (which will be distributed via FilmOn) will include a mix of Martin’s classic songs and comedy bits, VF notes. The hologram company behind Martin’s act is also reportedly working on holographic versions of Billie Holiday, Bing Crosby, Buddy Holly, and Whitney Houston stage shows, among others, because the future is now and covers are becoming less and less a part of it. Sorry, Dean Martin impersonators.
