Serena Williams, the fiercest, most successful female athlete of the last millennium, has 22 career titles, an 86.76 winning percentage, four Olympic gold medals, and is the reigning champion of the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and Olympic women’s singles and doubles. But this weekend she was defeated by her own 5K charity race. In a Facebook video, the tennis star admitted that she could only make it partway through the race before enlisting the help of a taxi to reach the finish line. The Live Ultimate Run takes place in Miami Beach, Florida and raises money for the Serena Williams Fund, which focuses on“helping individuals and communities affected by senseless violence, and promoting equal access to education.” We still love you, Serena. Please don’t beat us up.
